Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently competing with the UFC flyweight division. She's older than her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. Her debut was in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina then won an award of Silver in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008 and a gold medal in the year 2011, and in the IFMA Amateure Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. In 2012 she won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina shevchenko fought her first professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova in the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She won this fight by TKO after round 2. Her subsequent 2 matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was forced to take a break in order to focus on boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote. She went on to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina demonstrated her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera by knees. Antonina was offered a UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC during the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting match against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne modafferi in a split decision, after winning her debut fight. Antonina was able to bounce back from losing and defeated Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. This fight earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko went 1-2 over the next three fights, defeating Ariane Lipski, and then falling to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee.
